Earth Provides Us with Everything We Need Tour

The Minnesota Mycological Society and Minnesota Foraging Alliance are thrilled to host this special public event featuring forager and environmental activist Robin Greenfield. Through his yearlong experiment of living entirely from foraged food and medicine, Robin invites us to reflect on our own relationships with the land and the abundance it provides. Join us to learn, connect, and be inspired by how nature can truly meet our needs.

Three side-by-side photos of Robin Greenfield outdoors in a wooded area, wearing a wide-brimmed brown hat and light shirt. He holds a large porcini mushroom, smiling and smelling it with joy. Sunlight filters through the trees in the background.

During his visit, Robin will share how communities can reconnect with the land and the abundance it provides. His presentation offers inspiration, empowerment, and practical steps for living in greater harmony with the Earth. He’ll also invite attendees to join his One Million Community Fruit Trees initiative—a grassroots movement to plant fruit trees and support local food sovereignty.

Robin’s book Food Freedom, will be available to attendees on a donation basis. After the Q&A, Robin will host a book signing. All proceeds will go directly to Gardens of Liberation, supporting Indigenous and Black-led food sovereignty projects.

Robin Greenfield lies on a bed of green leaves surrounded by colorful vegetables such as sweet potatoes, potatoes, peppers, and flowers. He smiles at the camera, holding two glass jars—one dark and one light. The book cover text reads: “A Year of Growing and Foraging 100% of My Food” and “Food Freedom: Empowerment Manual for Liberation Through Food” by Robin Greenfield.
