2026 Fall Foray Camping Weekend

This is a paid weekend event with forays and camping for MMS members only – no guests, no plus-ones. Full details can be found on the registration site. Registration will open on Friday, July 24 at 7 pm.

After a great Spring Foray Camping Weekend, the Minnesota Mycological Society is officially bringing back a Fall Camping Weekend — and this time, we’re conquering brand-new territory! Get ready for this Fall Foray Camping Weekend. This isn’t just another foray; it’s a full-throttle, rustic autumn adventure with your favorite fellow foragers.

• New Terrain, Ultimate Flexibility: We are taking over a group campsite at Lake Vermilion that welcomes both RVs and tents! Choose your own camping adventure.
• Deep-Earth Exploration: This park boasts incredible modern amenities, rich history, and the ultimate highlight: underground mine tours!
• Peak Autumn Vibes: We are timing this perfectly with the absolute peak of fall colors. Imagine hunting for fungi surrounded by a canopy of blazing golds and reds, perfect for post-foray hikes and bike rides.

Registration will open on Friday, July 24 at 7 pm. Be on the lookout for your member email with the registration link at 6 pm the same day. Registration will close for this event on Friday, September 4 at 7 pm.
