Presentations on NAMA and a newly updated local field guide.

MMS is an affilliated club of the North American Mycological Association.  Howard Goltz will describe what NAMA is and does for us, plus provide previews of the upcoming October 8-11 2020 NAMA Annual Foray at Trout Lodge Missouri in the Mark Twain National Forest and the NAMA Wildacres Regional Foray scheduled for September 24-27, 2020, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Little Switzerland, North Carolina.

MMS member and co-author of the popular, local field guide Mushrooms of the Upper Midwest (Adventure Publications 2014), Kathy Yerich will share the recently released 2nd edition of that book and discuss the purpose and process of updating the book.  Copies of the 2nd edition will be for sale at the meeting.
Members, please bring any new books you have found that you’d like to share and recommend.

Also, the winner of the Marek Memorial Scholarship will be announced!
