U of MN Grad Student Reports and Late Spring Mushrooms

MMS scholarship winners and U of MN grad students Mara DeMers and Craig See will report on their areas of emphasis for their degrees. Mara will report on “Local adaptation in plant/multiple microbe communities”. Craig will report on “Parsing mycorrhizal fungi effects from host plant effects on ecosystem C and N cycling”.

Following these reports we will provide ID assistance for any spring mushrooms our members have brought in and a preview of what mushrooms we can expect to find in the transition from Spring to Summer, along with some of the unique hazards/challenges faced by the summer forager.

Please note this will not be held at our regular meeting location. We will be in Borlaug Hall Rm 335.
