 ena Lieb and NAMA Marketing Chair Kathy Yerich to hear highlights from the
  North American Mycological Association (NAMA) Annual Foray\, held this ye
 ar on August 27th - in Marquette Michigan.\n\n\n\nThis zoom meeting is fre
 e and open to the public.\n\n\n\nMMS members group photo at 2026 NAMA YOOP
  Foray\n\n\n\n\nStena Lieb has been an active member of the Minnesota Myco
 logy Society for over 6 years and has volunteered to assist on multiple fo
 rays. She loves learning more and more about mushrooms with the seasoned v
 eterans at the forays\, but has also been doing a lot of her own research 
 using mushrooms for papermaking. She gave a presentation at the Cloquet fo
 ray last fall and at the Bell Museum for the MMS 125th anniversary. Her en
 deavors lead a bit more toward the art aspect of mushrooms because she is 
 an artist and an art teacher. She has. a thirst for knowledge and loves te
 aching about things she learns\, which goes hand in hand when it comes to 
 foraging and learning about mushrooms!\n\n\n\nKathy Yerich has been an MMS
  member for almost 20 years! She is the co-author of the popular and acces
 sible field guide Mushrooms of the Upper Midwest and credits her mentors\,
  including Ron Spinosa and the late MarekTurowski for the encouragement to
  join NAMA and to continue to seek mushroom knowledge from many places!\n\
 n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPresentations are recorded and posted a few days later on t
 he MMS YouTube channel. This meeting is free and open to the public.&nbsp\
 ;Members receive Zoom&nbsp\;links on meeting announcements and reminders.
