Before the pandemic, every year the MMS has had an exhibit at the Minnesota State Fair during the first two days. Signs look good for us to return to the fair this year. You’ll find us in one of the Flower wings in the south end of the Agriculture Horticulture Building (Ag/Hort) near the intersection of Underwood Street and Judson Avenue. If you’re unfamiliar with this building just start heading towards the space needle and you’re bound to find it! Our exhibit will be on display from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday August 25 and Friday August 26.

Also, at 3:00 pm on Thursday, MMS member Ron Spinosa will be offering a presentation on Minnesota’s Edible and Poisonous Mushrooms in The DIRT demonstration area of the Agriculture Horticulture Building.

The Fair is always a great time to join the MMS. Our memberships normally expire at the end of the calendar year, but if you join on or after the first day of the State Fair, your new membership will not expire until the end of the following year!
